Antheia was a proud sponsor of this year’s SynBioBeta, the Global Synthetic Biology Conference hosted annually in the San Francisco Bay Area. Each year, our team attends SynBioBeta to convene with the leading innovators in the field and advance critical conversations about how we can leverage biology to build transformative solutions for a better, more resilient planet.
As part of our presence at the conference, Dr. Kristy Hawkins, Antheia’s co-founder and Chief Scientific Officer, gave a spotlight talk entitled Scaling Highly Engineered Strains to Produce Complex Pharmaceuticals. In her presentation, Dr. Hawkins shared how our R&D team has taken our work to biomanufacture critical ingredients for essential medicines from the lab bench all the way to commercial scale.
